About Me
Hi, I'm Katie, welcome to Between The Covers Editorial Services! I live in the Pacific Northwest with my dog, Henry, and an endless collection of books!
I graduated from Central Washington University in 2012 with a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with a specialization in Family Studies and a minor in Psychology. Basically, what all of that means is, I specialize in relationships, interpersonal development and human sexuality! I thrive in the academic sphere because I love to organize, read, write and am the opposite of a procrastinator.
After college, I went on to work as a Behavioral Therapist for children and young adults diagnosed with Autism. While part of my heart will always belong in this field, I knew it was time to move forward to a new adventure.
I have always been an avid reader and gave my library card a serious workout back in the day. Now I am an obsessed romance reader with overflowing bookshelves of my very own! Toward the end of, and after college, I worked editing college entrance essays and in recent years, I realized just how much I miss using that skill set.
As a result, I started freelance editing and taking continuing education courses in every aspect of publishing, editing, working with indie authors and running a freelance business. I have never felt so passionate, and I just know I have found what I was meant to do.
I know how much a manuscript means to an author and I would absolutely love to help make your voice shine and your novel become the very best it can be!
There isn’t any genre or trope in romance that I have not read and enjoyed. I love dark romance, romcom, contemporary, fantasy, paranormal and everything in between. I enjoy mf, mm, ff, reverse harem/why choose, poly and any other combination you can think of! I have a very open mind and heart so trust me when I say, I would love to read and edit anything you send my way.
